I got a call from this number at 9:56 pm. To verify if I made a transaction on my hdfc debit card. To my surprise the quoted the last 4 numbers of the debit card which I have blocked already. Not sure how come a txn can be made and can be verified in a blocked card. I doubt this number as unsafe.

Received call from this number in the wee hours at 2.40 am enquiring about a supposedly transaction from my international debit card of Rs 17100 .It was a computerised call with various options. I think this is some scam.
Fraud
I got call at 3 am and asked whether I did any transaction, I denied. They told there was attemt of transaction on your credit card. They asked me to block it and asked billing address for verification. Later I got doubt of fraud and called hdfc customer care, they mentioned the same that your card is blocked due to fraudulent transaction detection, will issue new card within week. I believe it's genuine number from hdfc fraud detection department.

Yes with the same number even I got a call that my debit card has been blocked due to some unauthorised transaction. They said to go to the nearest ATM and ask me to block the old one and request for new one. They said my Debit card ending no, my house address (correctly) and ask me to do the same immediately. But when I contact my bank , they advised me to check it through net banking , if any said transaction incurred or not. Also they advised to block my card through net banking.
May I know if this number is genuine?
